PROJECTS

A Study in Folklore
An ongoing series of artworks, based around objects of local and international folklore. Largely executed in traditional printmaking techniques, the aim of this project is to highlight and perpetuate the rich culture of oral tradition that is often neglected in the modern world.
Built on the Heads of the Old and the Dead
A printmaking series exploring aspects of the Artist's own heritage, with links to religion, cultural identity and family history. This project culminated in a 3D Installation piece based on cathedral doors, topped with a free standing origami arch designed to represent parts of the Artist's childhood and a feeling of isolation from one's perceived culture.

Household Tales

These multi-media pieces follow on from themes included in 'A Study in Folklore', designed to be kitsch, interactive and reminiscent of family heirlooms. They follow tales from famous folk songs, such as Two Sisters and Long Lankin.
